What To Do If You Are Passed a Book

Add your petition and pass the book onto someone who will do the same. Please send the book back when full or if you have no one you can pass it to. The deadline of April 1. 2011, is to avoid the postal increase set to happen mid April. Send it back even if you miss the deadline. By putting the Petition Box Project address as the return address also, the additional postage will be covered on this end.

"1 of 100"

There was a debate going on in my head about how to track the books, and even if they should be. Part of the process is trusting the connections that will be made. If the books are tracked, what information is enough? In the end, having a point of which to refer back to as the starting point seemed to fit.

The edition number, the first name of the "1 of 100", a brief description of who they are and where it started are listed for each book. It is bristling to try to capture the complexity of a person with a few descriptor words about what a person does. The point of doing so is to allow those, who check the provenance of their book, to see how they are connected to people they think they might not ever be, and ponder that connection.

Without being able to visually confirm or deny our perceptions, can it be possible, that despite our differences; age, gender, race, socio-economic, religious and otherwise, that we just might hope and want some of the same things??????

What a concept!
