Beautifully snowy, trip to NYC to see art. It is my first time staying in a youth hostel, the Chelsea International Youth hostel to be specific. Good experience in language barriers. I put a Petition Box in the kitchen area, and discovered from the few who participated that 'petition' is not a common word easily translated from English into other languages or learned as one travels outside their native tongue. One can never underestimate the benefits of trial and error. I also discovered that how people are engaged to participate can influence the outcome of the answers. The more behind the scenes I am the more reflective the responses or if there was to be any participation at all. In any case, we got our picture taken by a couple from Denmark that participated. After trapsing around NYC for 3 days, I can understand why a four day work week would be realllly nice.
